Coordinator Committees
Below is a list of the committees that nurse coordinators can take part in.

- Journal Review Committee (Nursing and Medicine)

Members of this committee will alternate the responsibility of reviewing current neurosurgical and medical journals. Quarterly, this committee will provide the ABIC Technical Center with a brief summary of pertinent information regarding traumatic brain injury. The ABIC Technical Center will then send updates via computerized fax bulletin.
- CRF Review Committee

Members of this committee will help refine the ABIC Generic Case Report Forms for use in traumatic brain injury trials. This committee will also be responsible for review ABIC sponsored CRFs from a study coordinator's perspective.
- Protocol Review Committee

Members of this committee will be responsible for reviewing draft protocols for future trials. Frequently the turn around time may only allow for twenty-four hour notice.
- New Member Committee

This committee will be comprised of coordinators with neurosurgical experience who will serve as mentors to coordinators new to traumatic brain injury trials or clinical research in general. Members will be responsible for contacting new coordinators to welcome them to the Consortium. Members of this committee will also be available to guide new coordinators through the study budget and contract negotiation process.
- Newsletter and Meeting Committee

This committee will be responsible for submitting interesting articles to the ABIC semi-annual newsletter. They will also assist in the arrangement of guest speakers for the semi-annual Coordinators Meetings.
