Organization
The American Brain Injury Consortium, or ABIC, is composed of a central Technical Center, located in Richmond Virginia. It was formed in April of 1993. This was internationally recognized and eventually led to the formation of the European Brain Injury Consortium, or EBIC. The EBIC adopted these same principles and, together with ABIC and our sponsoring colleagues, sheares the same challenge and desire to impact favorably on the outcome of severely brain injured patients world wide.
